When you graduated the school you may aware the game is changed. We should adjust the rule of your new world. Here are 3 things you need to know.
1. Focus your strength
The maximum score of school tests is 100 points. But there is no upper limit for business.
If you get a test result of 98 points / 100 points in math and 52 points / 100 points in ELA, there is only room for 2 points in math, but 48 points in ELA. Therefore, it is more effective to overcome the weak subject. This is an effective strategy.
In business, you may need to change the way of thinking. As a businessman, we have to focus on our effort on making strong points stronger. And no need to overcome your weakness.
Don’t be a well-balanced person with no strengths or weaknesses.
Be a person with great strengths and weaknesses.
In the school test, your score does not affect others. In business, your score is related to others.
If you are good at math, you can improve it from 98 points to 1,000 points or 10,000 points or more! If you are a specialist in one area, it’s hard to find your replacement. That’s your value.
And it’s OK to have 48 points for ELA. Find someone who can get 100 points. There are many alternatives. Don’t worry.

2. Move fast
There are an answer and explanation in the school test.
But we don’t know if there is an answer in business. And we can’t know which is best or better when we have some ways.
If you take an action after you verify your answer it’s too late. Others can reach the same answer earlier than you. If everyone reaches the same answer, the first person can get everything or take a big advantage in business. But in school, you can get the same point even if you are final runner to reach the answer.
So if you have an idea, just do it. And fix your idea while running. Think about how to fix it while running.
I love Louis V. Gerstner’s word. He is ex IBM’s CEO to change the big company culture to move fast. This is a simple but really strong word for me.
Sooner is better than perfect.

3. Challenge with courage
When you talk about your idea, others may say “Such an idea doesn’t work. Do you believe you can make a profit from your idea?”
I understand your concern. But believe in yourself.
If you try to do something different, your friends and family may advise you to stop it just because it’s risky. But don’t believe them and believe in yourself.
I don’t think you’ll succeed if you are doing the same thing as others. If your idea or challenge is something different I believe your challenge has a possibility to succeed and I support your dream.
And courage is not being afraid of failure but to challenge while fearing failure.
