This book is composed of 30 letters from the father who is a businessman to his son. This book was written in 1985, it was more than 30 years ago. But I feel it’s not old and still worth reading. Every time I read it back, I find something new.
30 letters address the scenes where we face in our life such as challenge, education, success, honesty, entrepreneur, experience, manager, marriage, money, presentation, politeness, bank loan, politeness, reading, happiness, friendship, critics, stress, leadership, lifestyle balance, etc…
This time I would like to pick up the 19th letter about the importance of reading.
The author picked up 10 books.
John Bartlett’s Familiar Quotations by John Bartlett
My Life in Advertising by Claude C. Hopkins
Inside the Family Business by Leon A. Danco
The Doctor and the Soul by Viktor E Dr. Frankl
Our Oriental Heritage by Will Durant
The Thirteen Steps to Riches by Napoleon Hill
The Rising Sun by John Toland
Britannica encyclopedia
The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire by Edward Gibbon
Ralph Waldo Emerson Representative Selections by Frederic I. Carpenter
When I read it last time, I thought I should read some books, but I didn’t read any of them. So I ordered 3 books immediately!
All 10 books are classics written long ago, so some of them are difficult to buy, but I’ll try some step by step except for the Britannica encyclopedia.
Thank you for reading this post.
Please check those 10 books if you are interested in.
