I want to introduce a quick brainstorming method.
Why quick brainstorming is needed?
I use this method instead of giving an answer when a team member asks for my opinion. Rather than simply answering, brainstorming leads to the growth of members and allows us to think together toward our goals.
However, brainstorming takes some time so we need this quick brainstorming method.

I want to make sure the rules of brainstorming.

- Welcome silly and useless idea
- Focus on quantity than quality
- Get on other’s idea
Quick brainstorming method
Here are 3 steps of quick brainstorming.
- Make 10 ideas in 5 minutes
- Share and develop them
- Select some ideas and brush up
Let me comment on each step.
1st step is to make ideas as much as possible. Please set the time limit to about 5 minutes. Since the time is short, we have to list all the ideas that come to our minds. If we reject a boring idea, we won’t be able to come up with it on time.
Also, 20 ideas in 10minuite or 5 ideas in 3 minutes may work too. If you feel it’s too short or too many, that’s a good setting.
2nd step is to share those ideas and develop or combine them. Don’t evaluate and draw a conclusion at this step.
3rd step is to select some ideas which might solve the issue and brush them up. If there is no good idea, let’s leave them.
