Have you ever felt pressure when you make a presentation?
For example,
- In front of a large number of people as a representative of your company.
- In a meeting where important decisions are made.
I give presentations at 100-150 meetings a year and sometimes feel pressure. I would like to introduce how I overcome the pressure. As I get through many presentation opportunities of different situations, I think I can cope with the pressure well.
1. Good Preparation
I try to do everything I should do before the meeting. You can make a To-Do list and check it one by one.
If I can’t create enough time for preparation, I became nervous and really concern about my presentation.
But you can control how to prepare. So think about how much time you have and what you should do.
2. Have a Positive image
Imagine that you will feel fully satisfied with and achieve your goals after your presentation. A positive image encourages you to do your best in the meeting.
3. Celebrate your growth
Your pressure is a sign of your growth.
We will be nervous or feel pressure in a scene that we will never experience.
It is a big opportunity for you to grow.
We have nothing to lose.
Made mistakes? We can learn from the mistakes!
So no failure either you made mistakes or not.
When you feel pressure in the meeting, celebrate your growth!
I hope you will enjoy your pressure!
