PresentationZen is one of the best books to learn presentations.
I completely agree with “death by Powerpoint” which emphasizes the importance to prepare a presentation using the analog tool. I think that’s the way we can use our time effectively and be creative.
Especially I like the 3 essences described in this book.
Kanso is elimination, subtraction, omission
Flukiness is Asymmetry, irregularity
Shibumi is articulate brevity, eloquent suggestion, minimalism
I think “Simplicity” is the most important keyword throughout this book. We can learn why simplicity is important and how we can prepare a simple presentation and how to use a visual image to send a simple and clear message.
It’s my favorite book. We can see a lot of graphics to understand how to apply Zen philosophy to our presentation. Let’s check this book and make your presentation simpler with Zen!
